Yep, it’s been quite some time since I’ve written here. A year less an hour and a half in fact. But seriously, it’s not that I didn’t want to write, but more that I didn’t have the time and didn’t remember to write when I did. :D Sorry folks. But I figured I would get in at least one post before my annual New Year’s one.
So let’s get an update on Linux, shall we? Well, first of all, I switched to Ubuntu on my desktop (my old PII laptop [an IBM 600E] still runs Debian). Well, XUbuntu, to be specific (even though it isn’t really released yet). Gotta love the XFCE desktop. I’ll try and put up a screenshot at a later time.
The other major thing that’s been taking up my time (other than school and life as usual) is robotics. Yep, I’m on a FIRST robotics team. Team 1511, Rolling Thunder to be specific. Let’s just say that it’s been an awsome experience. In the team’s (and my) rookie year (last year), we took the International Rookie All Star award (the highest achievement possible for us) and numerous other ones at regional events (in fact, we got every single rookie award!). So yeah, go to the website and check it out. Of course, I made it myself.
I think that’s all I have time for now. I’ll be back in a little while for the traditional midnight post. You know how that works. I’m sure I’ll think of some other stuff to post later on, so stay tuned.
